Private Tuition

Learn djembe, dunun, or calabash at your own pace

Whether you’re picking up a drum for the first time or refining your skills as a professional musician or teacher. I offer one‑to‑one and small‑group sessions that are tailored to your goals, covering anything from traditional repertoire and ensemble skills to improvisation, soloing, theory, understanding notation or teaching approaches.

You’re welcome to join me in my lovely new studio near Finsbury Park / Crouch Hill in North London, where I teach groups of up to 7 – drums provided. I also teach online via Zoom, and occasionally I can travel to you. Discounted rates apply for midweek daytime sessions.

We can work on material I suggest, or focus on the specific areas you want to explore. Whatever your level, you’ll find a friendly, focused environment to help you build technique, groove, and musical understanding.

If you're interested in private sessions – one-to-one, with a group of friends, or being matched with other suitable studentsplease fill out this short form to help me organise by level, availability, and learning goals.
